Electric pianos have shaped the sound of countless genres—from jazz and soul to pop, funk, and ambient electronica. Whether it’s the warm bark of a classic tine piano or the glassy shimmer of a digital EP, these instruments carry decades of musical heritage. If the iconic electric piano sounds of the past 30 years are a source of inspiration for you, then “The Legacy Collection, Vol. 4” is made with you in mind.

This new volume focuses exclusively on electric piano sounds, carefully selected from the legendary flagship workstation released in 2005. Each of the 53 stereo samples was digitally re-recorded to preserve the authentic character and dynamic response of the originals, while being optimized for the OP-1 field.

Every sound was chosen at the pitch that offers the best tone across multiple octaves, with special attention to the natural sustain unique to each instrument. Most samples feature long decays for expressive fades, while others include seamless loop points for sustained playability.

Legal disclaimer

The sounds made available have been adapted and processed from original factory presets included in vintage synthesizers from the mid-2000s. The sounds are high-quality stereo samples, specifically processed for the ultra-portable OP-1 field. Since the original OP-1 is monaural, stereo channels may be downmixed to mono. However, this has not been tested: use at your own risk.
